Two Alchera projects have been shortlisted for the Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK) Awards 2026. The winners will be announced at ITS UK's 20th anniversary President's Dinner in London on 10 November.
The awards recognise people, organisations and projects across the UK transport technology sector. We've been shortlisted in two categories: Public Transport, and Digitalisation and Digital Services.
Too many transport decisions still run on assumptions. We think they should run on evidence, and that's what both projects show.
Public Transport: Norfolk's bus network performance insights
Norfolk County Council uses Alchera Bus, our AI-powered bus analytics platform, to understand how its bus network is performing. The insights show where infrastructure investment is needed to reduce delays and congestion, which supports Norfolk's Bus Service Improvement Plan.
"The use of their Alchera Bus software is helping us to identify where infrastructure investment is needed on our highway network to reduce delays and congestion," said Jeremy Wiggin, Head of Sustainable Transport at Norfolk County Council, when the council renewed its contract earlier this year.
Digitalisation and Digital Services: a network-wide AI and digital twin
Entered with Connected Places Catapult, this project uses multimodal connected vehicle data to power a network-wide AI and digital twin that optimises traffic lights.
Faster decisions, backed by evidence
In both projects, network teams can make faster decisions, with the evidence to back them up.
Winners announced on 10 November
The winners will be announced at ITS UK's 20th anniversary President's Dinner at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane on 10 November. The Rees Hills Award for Outstanding Personal Contribution, the Richard Harris Award for International Achievement and the overall Project of the Year will also be revealed on the night.
"Congratulations to everyone who has made the shortlist for this year's Awards. Once again, we've had a huge number of exceptional entries, demonstrating just how innovative and exciting our sector is," said Max Sugarman, chief executive of ITS UK.
"Faster decisions only matter if they're the right ones. Both shortlisted projects give network teams the evidence to act quickly and with confidence. We're proud to be recognised alongside so many exceptional organisations, and thank Norfolk County Council and Connected Places Catapult for their partnership," said Anna Jordan, CEO and co-founder of Alchera.
